Dr. Julie Lamb

Born and raised in Victoria, Dr. Lamb graduated in 2003 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. She then completed an internship at a busy surgical/emergency center in Los Angeles. Upon completion of her internship, she returned to Canada and worked at a small animal practice in BC then spent six years as the head of the small animal department at a busy mixed animal practice in Winnipeg. She moved back to the island in 2012 and is excited to be a practicing veterinarian on the island again. Dr. Lamb’s interests are in preventive medicine, knowing that finding a problem…before it’s a problem…is key to a healthy life. Dr Lamb keeps busy with her 3 children, cats (Katji and Twist), and three dogs (Stella, Lucy, and Penny). When not at the clinic she can be found exploring the back country with friends and dogs.

She has worked in the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of B.C. as well as completed a rotation at the Vancouver Aquarium. She is certified in the Fear Free Handling program and believes in low-stress visits for all her patients.
